How do civilians/non-military families pay for admission?

What time does the event start?

The Exhibit Hall will open at 11:30 AM. To allow sufficient time for those who are coming from the Marin County United Veterans Council traditional morning ceremony to conclude their activities, the luncheon will begin at approximately 12:30 PM.

Is this event a continuation of the morning ceremony?

No. The Marin County United Veterans Council traditional morning ceremony being held in the Veterans Memorial Auditorium and then the Avenue of the Flags is separately hosted and funded by other organizations. The 100th Year Anniversary Veterans Day Celebration Luncheon is its own event funded by a private family foundation to honor and celebrate the service of Marin County veterans, active duty military, and their families.

How is the ROTC involved?

The Marin Air Force Junior ROTC performs an annual Vets & Cadets ceremony, where current AFJROTC cadets pay personal tribute to veterans. In lieu of a separate Vets & Cadets ceremony, the Marin AFJROTC will be incorporating their ceremony in to the 100th Year Anniversary Veterans Day Celebration Luncheon.

Will any arrangements be made for non-ambulatory attendees?

Yes. We are making every effort to ensure accessibility for all Marin County veterans and active duty service members, and their families, who wish to attend this luncheon being held in their honor. If special transportation arrangements need to be made, please indicate so in the comments section of your RSVP and contact your local service club or auxiliary post for details.
